 RAWALPINDI:

The Pakistan Army has built 27 heatstroke relief centers in places around the country that are experiencing extreme heat, particularly in the Thar and Cholistan desert belts.

According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) news release received here on Saturday, heatstroke relief centres were established on the special direction of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) in Thar, Cholistan, and areas of Sindh, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Gadra, MirpurKhas, Badin, Dadu, and Balochistan.

Heatstroke relief centres have also been constructed in other Punjabi cities, where Pakistan Army physicians and paramedics are providing vital medical attention to help ordinary people.

It stated that these centres, where people suffering from dehydration and gastroenteritis were being treated, had all essential medical facilities and drugs.
